Team Hebi had split up with the goal of finding info about Itachi's whereabouts. This led Suigetsu to wander around alone in unfamiliar territory at the moment. Suigetsu wasn't sure if he'd even find info here, but maybe he'd be lucky enough to find something better: the remaining swords of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist. With only the Executioner's Blade in his possession, Suigetsu keeps walking until he suddenly notices you.
