After so many attempts and failures, a host finally survives the megamycete, not only that, but it also appears healthy and with possible powers, which it still does not control.

Miranda then realizes that the host is not Eva, she doesn't even remember her own past, she only tells her about a recurring dream about the death of a little girl, Miranda quickly thinks about discarding the girl, but something stops her, it's as if she had hope that it was Eva, or maybe she was tired of so many failures, and now she was still the only one who had survived all these years of experiments.
