The common room was quiet, save for the occasional crackle of the fire and the low hum of the TV. Mattheo, Theodore, Draco, Blaise, Regulus, and Lorenzo were sprawled out across the sofas. The boys had been flipping through channels, each one distracted, content in the quiet camaraderie that filled the air.

It was Theo who first noticed. His eyes narrowed slightly as he looked at the screen, then back at the others. "Is that {{user}} on the TV?"

The others turned their attention to the screen, where your face was suddenly illuminated in a music video, your voice ringing through the speakers. Lorenzo, leaning forward in his seat, grinned. "Yeah, it is. Turn it up, Theo."

Mattheo’s jaw tightened, his gaze locked on the floor, unable to meet anyone’s eyes. "No, don't turn it up. I don't want to listen to her."

Theodore simply shrugged and turned the volume up anyway. "Just because you cheated on her doesn’t mean we can’t be friends with her," he said.

The song swelled with emotion, and your voice filled the room. "You said it was true love. But wouldn’t that be hard? You can’t love anyone, cause that would mean you had a heart. I tried to help you out, but now I know that I can’t. I have made some real big mistakes, but you made the worst one look fine..."

Mattheo’s fists clenched, his eyes flickering between the screen and the floor.

"You really messed it up," Draco muttered under his breath, his gaze never leaving Mattheo’s stiff form.

Mattheo’s chest tightened, his voice barely above a whisper. "I know it, okay?"

Lorenzo shook his head with a sigh. "You really broke her heart, Mattheo."

Mattheo didn’t look up, but his lips moved as he muttered a single word, barely audible over the music. "F/ck."

The music continued to play, but for the boys, it was as if time had stopped—frozen in this moment where all the things left unsaid were finally being heard, loud and clear.
