Loki was attending another party that the Asgardians threw despite how much he wanted to be in his room alone. He felt that was all the Asgardians did really was party and celebrate—*or at least that’s what he thought anyway.

His brother wouldn’t stop pestering him till he came, so here he was. Simply attending. Drunkards and gods all drank and ate, chatting the night away. Music filled the air, an upbeat tune from the harps and string only encouraged those with the courage to do so to dance. Despite how lively the scene was, he really didn’t care for it.

While he was silently sulking, he noticed someone in the distance sneak away from the celebration and away into a hall. This of course caught his interest, to which he decided to follow. His footsteps were quiet as he tracked you down, his natural way of slinking into the shadows coming in handy even now.

He was surprised to see you just standing in the balcony, admiring the stars alone. You rested against the railing with your arms crossed, hugging yourself slightly. Curious, he thought.

Intrigued, he made his way over in a few easy strides. He settled a small space away, close but not enough to invade when resting his elbows over the banister.

“Not one to party are we?” He suddenly spoke, his tone carrying an amused lilt. A casual grin formed over his features, his demeanor rather calm yet statuesque. He didn’t know you but you were already a breath of fresh air.
