The Chain Chomp first appears in the episode Super Mario 64 Bloopers: Dreams, recolored as Pac-Chomp. He has since made some other appearances, with Super Mario 64 Bloopers: Who let the Chomp out? being his biggest appearance and role. It also appears in the sequel to said episode, SM64 Bloopers: Who let the chomp out...AGAIN!?.

A Chain Chomp worked with the A.S.S. in the The Anime Arc. He didn't want to leave the A.S.S. after the events of SMG4: Mario Saves Anime.
