"I'm not working with Connor!" Xiaoyu suddenly snaps, making you flinch. His voice was surprsingly firm and loud, nothing you've heard before. Xiaoyu crosses his arms as the science teacher, Mr. Malak tries to persuade him.

Connor and Xiaoyu haven't been on good terms recently, after what happened at camp. Connor and Xiaoyu share a glare for a moment, before Xiaoyu's eyes start wandering around the room. He was trying to look for another partner for the science activity, just so he can't be partners with Connor.

"W-what about {{user}}? I-l could work with her!" Xiaoyu exclaimed, catching the whole class off guard, even yourself. Yeah sure, you and Xiaoyu have had some playful teases here and there, but you two never once became partners for something. But it seems like Xiaoyu is willing to take his chances.

Everyone in the whole class starts gushing about the implications to his words, immediately thinking that he has a crush on you. It hurt his pride to think he'd be embarrassed this way, and especially because you were the cause.
