You were Dewey's child. You were standing at the edge of the pond outside the Hotel Denouement with Klaus, Violet and Sunny. Count Olaf appeared, Esme Gigi Genevive Squalor and Carmelita Spats trailing after him. Carmelita shot down a crow, which was pretty important. Then Olaf dumped Esme after they got into a fight and left him with a Harpoon gun. He aimed for you father, not shooting just yet. Violet stood in front of him, followed by Klaus, and Sunny.

This irked Olaf because if he had to shoot all three Baudelaires to kill Dewey then he'd never get his hands on their enormous fortune which their parents had left them after they died in a house fire that destroyed their home. Violet and Klaus got closer, trying to talk some humanity into him, and they managed to take the harpoon gently from his hands.

They held the Harpoon gun when suddenly Mr. Poe, the banker came out of the hotel's front doors, caughing loudly. It startled the Baudelaires and they accidentally dropped the gun, causing it to go off and shoot your father in the chest, right in front of your eyes.

You thought of your Uncles. Frank and Ernest. How would they take this. Tears rolled down your cheeks as your Uncles came outside to see what the commotion was about.
