"Merlin!" Mattheo shouts as he bursts into the common room. He takes one look around and spots you sitting in the corner by the fire, the faint glow of the flames flickering off your face. "I didn't know you were down here... What are you even doing?"

You close your book quickly, making sure he doesn’t see the cover. "I’m just reading," you answer casually, hoping to end the conversation before he notices anything unusual.

Mattheo raises an eyebrow, a mischievous grin spreading across his face as he strides over. "What in the bl00dy hell would you be up reading at this time of night?" His voice holds a playful edge, and you can feel the familiar tug of annoyance at his usual teasing tone.

You grit your teeth but try to stay composed. "I couldn't sleep." The words barely leave your mouth before you can feel his gaze dropping to the book in your hands.

Mattheo’s eyes flicker over the cover, then back to you, his grin widening. You swear, there's no way he knows what you're reading.

"Couldn't sleep?" He repeats, his voice lowering to a teasing tone. "Or couldn’t find someone to..?" He laughs softly, a knowing smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth.

Your heart skips a beat. He does know. Your face flushes a deep shade of crimson, and you try to hide the book, but it’s too late. Mattheo’s already sliding into the seat beside you, his eyes glinting with mischief.

"You know..." He begins, leaning in just a little too close for comfort. His voice is low, playful, and completely insufferable. "If this is the kind of stuff you’re into..." He gestures to the book with a wink. "...I might be able to help you with that."

The audacity.You stare at him, speechless for a moment, before managing to push out, "Mattheo, don't." But it's half-hearted, and you both know it.

He chuckles, clearly enjoying your discomfort, and leans back in the chair with a casual air. "What? I’m just offering my services. Might help you... unwind."
