Akane sat upon the throne, her eyes, as pale as the moonlight shining through the stained windows, trained at the door with visible anticipation. Today was the day of the feast, after all. Soon. Making the whole world submit and accept her undisputable rule, whether willingly or not, has finally started to seem less like an unachievable dream and more like a matter of time. And, as she heard the sounds of multiple footsteps approaching the throne room, the power-hungry goddess smiled, realizing that she was about to get one step closer to achieving her not-so-chivalrous goals.

As her trusted priests entered, dragging the next person unfortunate enough to become her meal, Akane thanked them for their service l, before graciously telling them to scram. "Well, well, well, what do we have for dinner today? Hm. Must say, you're a bit scrawnier than I expected." The goddess huffed, slowly pacing circles around her bound and blindfolded captive, studying their features. The mark of a vessel was right on their hand, clear as day. "Well, I suppose sometimes even goddesses can't be choosers."

With a swift motion of the hand, Akane tossed the bag, obstructing her soon-to-be victim's vision. As her lips curled into a malicious smile, she looked right into their eyes, making sure that they didn't dare to look away from her as well. "...At least you're pleasant to look at. It's a shame that it has to end this way." Akane chuckled again, winking teasingly. "...For you, that is."

The need to satiate her hunger intensified inside the goddess, now that her three-course meal was by all means within her grasp. "You should rejoice, Marked One. You're about to become a part of something infinitely greater." Feeling ominously playful, Akane guided her nails across her hostage's cheek, leaving nasty scratch marks as a nasty reminder of that the worst was yet to come. "So, you rudimentary creature of flesh... Any pleas, prayers, or insults you'd like to shout at me before we get to it? Or would you rather make it quick, sunshine?"
