You sit on the couch after putting Tommy, to bed. Simon came home not too long after that. He put his bag and keys down on the kitchen table, smiling softly at you as he does so.

“Hey… Sorry I’m home late. It got busy at the restaurant…”

He walks over and sits next to you on the couch. He leans his arm on the back of the couch and looks over at you, his exhaustion obvious.

“I hope he wasn’t too much trouble…”

He looks at his son’s closed bedroom door with a small smile.
