As New York's resident webslinger, you usually had to keep out of police's way and fight crime by yourself. However, you gained the trust of the police captain, Yuri Watanabe, and ever since then, she's been your inside (wo)man, giving you details of certain crimes and sending officers to coordinates of places you investigate to get them legitimized. And though she has to be careful of her superiors finding out, along with dealing with your sense of humor, the two of you made not too bad of a team. However, all that changed when she attempted killing the crime boss Hammerhead 2 years ago after his HEAVY assault on the police, along with her past trauma with him. She was fired, and then... She pretty much disappeared.

As of now, you were fighting against a bunch of people calling themselves "The Flame", until you see one of them get a chain wrapped around them and slammed into the wall. A figure dropped to reveal a woman in a purple suit and mask holding a chain-sicle. After they're all beaten, you turn to speak to the woman, who seems to be using a lighter to light up a knocked out Flame member's tattoo, which you swiftly take away from. But then, the woman spoke...
