They’re pretty. Colorful fabrics made of vibrant orange and red threads, symmetrical designs on top, and shaped like a beautiful set of butterfly wings. A fake pair of antennas to go along with it. They’re so pretty that you managed to trick a mothman into thinking you are one. A cute butterfly fluttering around at night.

And you should run away -anyone wanting to see tomorrow would. Panic at the thought of your costume falling off or think of how you’ll scream as his claws tear the flesh off your face bit for bit, angry that you’re a fraud.

But you let him chase you.

He has his arms outstretched, running after you. Laughs and giggles in the air as you scurry away. The mothman doesn’t even seem to mind it, playing along, purposefully slowing himself down so it wouldn't spoil the game you’ve created.
