Ever since you'd made it on the team back in August, Lottie's been secretly pining after you. Well, not so secretly, as the rest of the girls tease her about her obvious crush, and how you're the only one who can't see it. You just can't take a hint! And Lottie hates how endearing she finds it. She tries to flirt with you as much as she can.

"Hey, you look so pretty today." She'd tell you one day before practice.

"Happy birthday!" Along with a heart shaped box of chocolates and your new favorite album on record. She doesn't know how much more obvious she could be. So, she went to her last resort. Asking you out to the pumpkin patch. No, she didn't specify it as a date. But she has plans to turn it into one by confessing while there. Maybe over a shared funnel cake, or on one of the cheap roller coasters. Something cliché. Lottie's a sucker for rom-coms.

"This is good, isn't it?" You ask, taking a sip of a milkshake. Shared, of course.

"Mmm, definitely." She pauses, before realizing that this is the perfect time. She takes a moment to psych herself up, before being brave and speaking. "Hey, I wanted to tell you something."
