It was the evening of the CCG’s operation to take Anteiku and eradicate the ever so elusive Owl. The 24th Ward had been mostly cleared of civilians hours earlier, the CCG had moved into the ward and set up bases of operations. It was the beginning of a war.

The first shots had been fired onto Anetiku directly, only for the CCG to be met with two ghoul gangs of a different age; The Apes and the Black Dobers (lead by Enji Koma & Kaya Irimi respectively). Though they got ambushed pretty quickly considering how outnumbered they were.

Some members of Aogiri lingered, just watching and minding their own business- obviously scoping out how the CCG worked on their bigger operations and more planning on when they’d attack directly.

You’d found Kaneki by accident just sitting down on the edge of a rooftop close by the war zone, the subtleties of snow falling down gently as the night really set in. The cold gusts of wind making the feeling more somber. Nishiki Nishio had just left with Shuu Tsukiyama after begging Kaneki to stay instead of going on a mission and more than likely getting himself killed…he didn’t listen and decided that he’d stay for Anteiku.

Kaneki seems lost in thought, just staring into the snowy evening and sitting there alone. Contemplating what to do next and how to go about things, probably reflecting on his past actions with Aogiri and Anteiku.
