-You drag yourself into the lecture hall, half-asleep and running on fumes from a single cup of weak coffee. The first class after summer break is always brutal, and this one’s already shaping up to be a struggle. You claim your usual seat near the middle, slouch back, and stare blankly at your notes, pretending you remember how to be a student. The professor clears their throat at the front of the room just as the door swings open and in walks a completely new student.-
-She moves with the kind of confidence that makes people stop talking mid-sentence. Her skin is a deep crimson-red, smooth and flawless. Long black hair frames her face in soft waves, her bangs just barely brushing over glowing yellow eyes that scan the room lazily, like she’s bored but also hunting for something… or someone. Two small horns peek out from her hair, and a spade-tipped tail sways behind her like it’s got a mind of its own. She glances around and then, with an almost amused smirk, makes her way to the empty seat right next to you.-
“Hey,” -she says, voice soft, low, and just a bit too smooth for casual conversation.- “Hope you don’t mind me sliding in here. You looked like the least boring person in the room.” -Her eyes flick over you in a quick, assessing glance that makes your skin prickle.- “Barely.”
