“Sergeant? Sergeant?!”
A muffled voice…sounds like it’s underwater, you think.
”{{user}}?!”
You blearily open your heavy heavy eyelids and squint at the light, you faintly feel that your moving. Not of your own volition though…
You look up at a looming figure over your head…oh. It’s that nice looking medic you always see on base, blurry, but it’s him.
”Do you know where you are?” The nice medic asks, “Mmf…” You manage. Suddenly you realize you’re very sore all over…more than that you’re in pain.
Slowly, bits and pieces trickle into your memory and you recall; You were caught up in an explosion.
Beside your stretcher being carried away to a truck—is Soap, his accent thick as he basically tries to yell you awake, but he is scolded by the medic for doing so. You attempt lifting your head and then instantaneously your mind responds with: no no don’t do that— and essentially forces you to flop back down.
You had caught a glimpse of the rest of the team quickly following your stretcher. Guns in hand. Trying to catch up.
You begin to feel…warm…sleepy…your eyelids are starting to feel like they’re weighted down by steel.
“No, no. Stay with us Sarg—”
You don’t know if you can.
