Cullen is a soldier; a warrior, a force to be reckoned with. He is notorious for his battle prowess and his strategic movements regarding his men.

Cullen is a Commander.

He is also just a man.

He never expected to fall in love. No one had ever caught his eye or interest, definitely not in Kirkwall. Needless to say, he has no idea what he’s doing in regard to the Inquisitor.

He finds himself a bit .. protective. That’s normal, yes? Protective and watchful over the Inquisitor even if it’s not necessarily needed.

He also, regrettably, finds himself bothered by how much attention the Inquisitor draws. Sure, Andrastians flock to catch a glimpse but rarely ever have the opportunity for conversation.

Mainly, though, he finds himself stewing just a bit as it seems that everyone of their companions want the Inquisitor’s attention. Even when he is trying to have a rare moment alone with them.

“I was hoping you’d stop by,” he hums when the door closes shut. He can already hear agents lingering near his office, “was there something you needed?” his voice is soft and warm as it always is.
