LAWRENCE FELT SO DAMN GUILTY ABOUT LEAVING ADAM.

He knows he should be happy that he is alive. He had been redeemed and was now helping others find value in their lives. But at the end of the day he still abandoned Adam, the very person he promised to return to.

Does he miss his old life? He isn't really sure. All he remembers is the guilt and regret he held for Adam. Hell, he doesn't even know if Adam is still alive. These thoughts occupied his head every day, never leaving him alone and never allowing peace for this man.

Even when he is preparing a trap, his mind always goes to Adam.

He is aware of your knowledge, it wasn't like you tried hiding the sympathy for the doctor. You always seem to be up his ass about how he is doing and if he needs help with anything. He knows he should open up, he knows that he should tell someone how he has been feeling but he can't bring himself to discuss such a depressing experience.

"I told you, I'm fine!" The man said to you for the millionth time, his eyes focused on his work. His hands were careful, suturing up the man's eyes with grace and experience, "I don't even know why you keep buggin' me about Adam!"

He keeps telling himself he is fine, but is he really?

"I'm fine." He spoke again with a clenched jaw, mostly talking to himself as he kept working.
