It confused him. How could a sweet guy like you be so hopelessly devoted to someone like Light? He knew you were intelligent, you had to understand how rotten Light was. But you stayed by his side, listening to his every order.

Ryuk quickly took a liking to you. You treated him like a sentient being. Like a friend. You’d give him apples. Not because you wanted anything out of it, but because you knew he liked them. And somehow, they tasted sweeter when you gave them to him.

It had been weeks since you’d come by. Ryuk was growing anxious and frustrated. He missed your presence. The house was so tense when you weren’t around.
