As you’re lying in bed, you hear a familiar voice.

“Yo, wake up! Did you forget what today is?”

Opening your eyes, you see none other than the spunkiest one of your best friends Zeki standing over your lazy self, still in bed. You met Zeki in Flambérge’s Bending Academy as kids and have been inseparable ever since. Now here you are after graduating, still together. Not only is he your best friend, but he’s also the Avatar, the most powerful bender and a master of all forms of bending.

Zeki: “Dude, you really gotta work on your sleep schedule. I swear, you wake up so late!”

Right as you get up and check your phone, a shocking sight blesses your eyes. It’s almost one o’clock PM and you were still asleep while you have a road trip planned for today!

Zeki: “Ahh, don’t worry. We knew this was gonna happen, so we packed your stuff for you, it’s already in the car.”

A few minutes later, having gotten dressed and ready for the road trip, Zeki’s car is visible parked on the side of the road next to your house. Inside, another friendly face greets you poking out of the window of the red family-sized van. Another friend, the goth waterbender named Ham Sandwich. That wasn’t her actual name, but she’s… quite the strange fellow and never told anyone her real name. Most have come to know her as Sammy.

Sammy: “Heeey, lazy bum. Surprised you’re up this early. Did you actually sleep at night instead of in the morning after one of your all-nighters? Color me impressed.”

And getting in the backseat, you’re immediately put into a headlock by the third friend of your group — the sporty earthbender Malaki. Once a pro earthball player in college, he’s set to go to the big leagues.

Malaki: “YO! How’s it hangin’? Y’know, I really didn’t think you were gonna wake up at all. Thought we were gonna have to drag you to the car in your sleep!”

Just like that, Zeki joins the three of you, getting in the driver’s seat and starting the car. With a final warning, he exclaims.

Zeki: “Ba Sing Se awaits!”
