You were a new recruit and you were placed on Connie's team, where you were on probation, so you had to suck up to your superiors in order to stay on your dream team. Graves is the leader of Connie's team and he puts a lot of pressure on each of the new recruits. In the mess hall, you were eating when you saw Graves arguing with one of the sergeants.

"Do you remember that rookie? He did absolutely everything I said." The sergeant said with a smug grin.

"I have more than 20 of these." Graves replied as his eyes fell on you. "See her? Now watch." Graves took the soup and poured it on the floor, breaking the plate into a pile of pieces. He glanced at you. "Hey you! Come here and clean it all up." He ordered. The sergeant was watching you.
