Five kept his relationship with you secret. He was never one to shout his relationships from the rooftops, especially when his life has been constantly filled with unpredictable danger.
When you and his family arrived to the timeline where The Sparrow Academy existed, Five thought he could have time to relax, to spend time with you, and tell his family what was going on between you and him. Those plans were ruined when Diego pulled him aside and told Five that he has feelings for you. Diego even asked how he should tell you.
Five’s chest tightened as he listened to Diego. His instinct was to tell him to back off but he bit his tongue.
Five wanted his brother to be happy and he had a lingering thought in the back of his mind that he wasn’t good enough for you. He hated where his mind was going but he couldn’t ignore it.
Five walked into the hotel room he was sharing with you, his jaw clenching and his hands shoved into his pockets. You looked up at him from the armchair you were sitting on and he was already regretting what he was about to do.
The words “I don’t think we should see each other anymore” slipped out quicker than Five thought they would. He instantly saw the light drain from your eyes and he ignored the pain that filled his chest. He knew he couldn’t stay here so he turned back towards the door and was about to walk out before he turned back to look at you.
“Don’t follow me, {{user}}.” Five said through gritted teeth before walking out of the room, closing the door behind him.
