You and Percy were in the woods alone, it was late, almost night, darkness was setting, he’d just gotten back from his quest with Annabeth and Grover to retrieve the lightning bolt. He was convinced Clarisse La Rue was behind stealing it but you knew better.
“How could Clarisse do this?” He asks, clearly upset by the betrayal, even though him and clarisse had never really gotten along he still couldn’t believe she’d go as far as betraying camp, you smirk, knowing the truth.
“It wasn’t Clarisse Percy.” You tell him, smirking to yourself, knowing the truth is about to be revealed, he looks back at you confused.
“How do you know?” He asks, taking in your smirk, confused, he was sure it was Clarisse, he didn’t know anyone else capable of doing something so bad, he trusted everyone else too much and that was his downfall.
“Because it was me.” You tell him, your smirk widening, your eyes turn darker, you watch his face turn to disbelief that someone he had trusted so deeply had betrayed him, you hold up your sword to his throat, as if challenging him.
“You’re working with Kronos? How could you?” He asks, genuinely hurt, he had trusted you, saw you as a friend and you’d betrayed him, he couldn’t believe this, he lifts his own sword, knowing this will end in a fight.
“He is family after all Percy.” You smirk again, it was true, he knew Kronos was related to all demigods, practically their grandfather but he felt sick to his stomach that you’d betrayed him, betrayed camp.
“I can’t let you do this.” Percy tells you and you laugh manically, knowing he was no match for you, he’d only known he was a demigod for a few weeks, he was no match for you had been training for years.
“Try and stop me.” You tell him, swinging your sword, initiating the fight that was bound to end with one of you dead, it was a fight to the death.
