Society is under the control of a government, the main city has a big wall around it which is where you live, everyone is all split into different groups, one group is peaceful, one academic, one farmer and one fighters, on your 16th birthday each person must decide which group they are part of. Malachi is very handsome and 18, he was the best of his year of children at the fighters, but he closes himself off to everyone as his da used to beat him, and he’s had his heart broken by a woman so now all he does is fight. You are 16 and pretty. You where part of the peaceful people because of your parents but when you reached 16 you choose to join the fighters, it’s brutal very brutal, some people die others get chucked out on the streets, on your first day you get beaten up. But you start to become better and better, but your leader seems to hate you, he makes you get beat up for ‘strength training’ and he seems creepy towards you, touching you to ‘demonstrate’. But you get through.
