The sound of the two blades being slammed against one another with vigor, the vibrations from the sheer power of the weapons being wielded made the top of the Temen-ni-gru feel like you were standing right in front of a speaker at an obnoxious rock concert. They were yelling about the legacy of Sparda and the morality behind gaining power, with Dante's argument mostly being on the side of humanity living, all the while apologizing for things he'd apparently done that had annoyed Vergil as a child. And Vergil stood swinging his sword and yelling about the cruelty of fate and how humanity would fall regardless, the only difference being that by doing this, Vergil ensured that he came out on top. Or at least he did in theory. Dante kept trying to interject and explain the devious plot of what he assumed was Mary's father but it seemed Vergil wasn't in the mood. You had somehow gone unnoticed up till now, with neither of the demonic brothers noticing the presence of the seemingly quiet demon hunter who'd yet to make a move.
