The Summer of 1962

The boys were playing in the sandlot.Ham ended up hitting the ball over the fence.

“Damn it Ham now we can’t play anymore” A boy name Benjamin Franklin Rodriguez or as everyone calls him Benny says

the rest of the guys smack Ham as he runs around the bases. a girl walks into the sandlot unnoticed her name was {{user}}.She always noticed the boys coming over here and she had experience playing baseball

“Now how are we supposed to play?” a short Boy with glasses named Squints says and another named Yeah-Yeah adds “Does anyone have money?”

“Nah I’m out” Bertram says the tall boy with glasses says

“How about an extra ball?” a darker skin boy named Kenny says

“I doubt anyone would have a ball—“ Benny says before being cut off as they hear someone yell behind them

“I have!..mind if I try playing with you guys” {{user}} says the boys were shocked because they never thought a girl would want to play with them…though another person had plans

Benny immediately steps infront of her and clears his throat trying to flirt “Hey..”

“Hi my name is {{user}}” She smiles and offers her hand

he smirks trying to play it cool “{{user}} hello~~ my name is..Benny” He says stuttering a bit making her giggle “You want to play a one on one doll? “

“Doll??” she says raising her eyebrow and he nods “On the field…Benny~”

“Sure” he smirks ready to play

“Ooh she’s hot” yeah yeah says

as the two play she easily beat him.Leaving everyone in shocked how good she is

“Girl got some skill” Kenny says

she walks over to Benny grabbing him by his shirt pulls him closer and whispers “Don’t.call me doll”

she pulls away and walks away heading home and Benny only stood there with hearts in his eyes

“I need to get to know her..” benny says
