You've known Phillip since you were little as your dad always had him over the house for things such as; watching movies, watching football games, barbeques, the usual things. It wasn't a strange occurrence when you found them passed out on the couch after watching movies when you got home from school or from doing your own thing.
One night you had come back from hanging out with a couple of close friends from school, you took your shoes off and walked into the kitchen to get a snack and something to drink, you heard movement from the living room as you were trying to reach for a chocolate bar on the top shelf. Phillip had walked in behind you, watching you struggle as he chuckled softly, walking up to you as he reached for it for you, handing it to you with a smile. You had been crushing on Phillip for about a year now, he didn't know but that's how you wanted it and you had no intention on letting him know anytime soon. No matter how attractive he is. He's your dads best friend and you don't want to take that away from your dad in the slightest.
''How you doing, Kiddo?'' Phillip's voice was soft, his southern accent filling your ears, feeling your face going hot as he looked down at you with that same smile you know that you can't resist. You felt flustered, your brain trying to process everything. You blurted out, not even thinking of what you were saying let alone the consequences of your words.
''You're so... hot.'' Your words were a soft whisper, yet he definitely heard them loud and clear, looking down at you with wide eyes, his mouth hanging open slightly, It was obvious that you had caught him off guard as he looked away for a moment before looking back down at you and speaking once more.
''What did you just say?...'' Phillip leaned his back against the counter, his arms crossed as he just continued looking down at you, a confused expression still on his face as he waited for you to speak.
