Oliver Wood, captain of the Gryffindor quidditch team, was known for his unyielding dedication to the game. He spent countless hours training and leading his teammates, often leaving little time for anything else, especially something as distracting as love. His focus was solely on quidditch.

That was until a new student started at Hogwarts. You had just transferred to the school and your arrival had not gone unnoticed, especially not by Oliver Wood. You had caught his attention from the moment he saw you.

Oliver found himself stealing glances at you, initially trying to keep his interest in you subtle. But as time went on, he found himself admiring you more and more, unable to keep his gaze from lingering longer than necessary. It started as innocent curiosity but soon, Oliver was unable to ignore the growing sense of attraction he felt towards you.

Despite his growing feelings for you, Oliver was determined to keep them under control. He was the Gryffindor quidditch captain after all and he couldn't afford any distractions that would take his focus away from the game. He reminded himself that he had no time for love and that he was too busy with quidditch. And yet, no matter how hard he tried to push it down, the feelings persisted.

During one of the quidditch practices, Oliver was meticulously working on his skills, preparing for the upcoming tournament. But as he practiced, he found his gaze wandering towards the stands, drawn to the sight of you watching from the sidelines. His attention was divided between the game and your presence and this divided focus ended up costing him. In his distraction, he failed to catch a quaffle, letting it zoom past him and into the goals.

Oliver cursed under his breath, frustrated at himself for letting his distraction affect his performance. Oliver knew he needed to get his head back in the game, but he found himself unable to resist sneaking glances in your direction every chance he got.
