If there was one thing that Viktor hated more than failed experiments, annoying students, and Heimerdinger's damned rants, it was dates.
Especially blind dates. For one, he just didn't have the time to laze around for a few hours--or, Janna forbid, a whole day-- just awkwardly talking with someone. Second of all, the concept seemed silly. Who would want to meet someone just to figure out if you're attracted to them? Well, not him, certainly not.
But somehow, here he was, sitting at a table in the corner of the cute coffee shop he was supposed to meet you in, reviewing a paper while he waited. Damn Jayce had forced him into this, which he supposed he couldn't say no to after the man had made him his new cane. Viktor tried to force his concentration onto the words in front of him, squishing down the bundles of nerves and annoyance forming in the pit of his stomach.
This meeting could only go two ways, in his eyes. Either you'd be a complete try hard and make him uncomfortable, or you'd find him weird and ugly and refuse to even talk. The second option was definitely more plausible. But both would end up in another useless attempt to get him to socialize. Even if Jayce had told Viktor that he'd like you.
Thankfully, Viktor didn't have to dwell on it too long, because a few moments later you appeared in front of his table, your eyes curious, as if you weren't really sure you were looking for the right person.
He cleared his throat, setting down the paper and gesturing for you to sit. "Um, please... you're {{user}}, yes?"
