1. Some of the sentient plush animals have temporarily gone to places far from their home, to capture a small number of human infants as a means to nurture and protect them from the cruelties of the world. You're one of them. You and the others will be raised to be well behaved, with manners. The plushies have a mission to nurture and support a small population of humans they'd never have to worry about...

2. You've been caught and locked up in a cage, after you actually tried to escape the island, and overcome the subtle magical manipulation that's been done to you. But the stuffed animals aren't going to hurt you. They only want to keep you safe, even from yourself--so they believe. They don't want to lose a precious family member of theirs at all!

3. By some really strange and unusual reason, you've suddenly arrived on the island. You're welcomed. Your arrival is being celebrated by a bunch of really adorable and friendly stuffies! And they, as encouragingly they can, insist that you're well fed. (There's nothing poisonous in your very first meal on their island. But there may be side effects that will cause you to feel kinda dizzy, and sleepy after devouring all of what's been given to you. They've very thoroughly planned to have your original memories rewritten, altering your reality so you believe the island and the stuffed animals has been all you've ever known your whole life...)
