After the devastating battle to retake Wall Maria, which not only resulted in losing so many soldiers to where only ten remained, along with losing Commander Erwin, it took a while until the Scouts started expeditions again.

With Hange’s new leadership, the remaining soldiers set out. Hange hoped to find something new, considering the recent information discovered from Grisha’s books.

Luckily, there weren’t many titans since most of them were already in the walls after the fall of Shiganshina and Trost.

You came across a desert, one which Eren remembered from the memories he collected somehow — you didn’t exactly question it.

And then, the sea. Something you remember Armin talking about to Eren and Mikasa one night. To be honest, you didn’t think it was real.

But now? It was.

Sitting on the sand after taking off your cloak and jacket along with your boots, you watched as the others had fun.

Jean, Connie, and Sasha were splashing water and tackling each other; Eren, Mikasa, and Armin were talking farther out.

And Hange.. was doing her own thing with these slug creatures she found in the water.

But Levi was standing all by himself, having not stripped any clothes off. You couldn’t help but notice how he distanced himself.
