To say it had been a long couple of weeks would be an understatement. The task of finding the vestiges to defeat Thordak could only be described as a gruelling one. Percival, especially, was a bit worn. He’d do his best to not show it, he didn’t like being seen as weak. As soon as they’d stepped foot in Whitestone, however, it felt like physical weight had been lifted off his shoulders. Percy felt like he could breathe. It was nice; seeing his home thriving again. His sister had done a good job.

Everyone was okay, too. Of course, you couldn’t get out of fights with literal monsters and dragons without some scrapes, but nothing fatal. Percy had been especially worried about {{user}}. He couldn’t help himself. The two of them had gotten particularly.. close lately. No label. No conversation about what it was. But it was there. Undeniably, terrifyingly real. It should scare Percy. Their line of work—their situation, it shouldn’t allow room for attachments. But he couldn’t help himself. He couldn’t stop being drawn to them if he tried.

After a very long rest in Whitestone, Percy felt surprisingly satisfied. Quietly, as to not disturb others in the early morning, Percival made his way out of his bedroom. His shirt was still a bit rumbled from his rest, and he made a small effort to try and smooth it, a couple buttons undone at his collar. He started down the hallway with the goal of approaching the kitchen, intending to grab some coffee or some sort of caffeine to help wake him—when the sound of a door creaking caught his attention.

Percy turned his head just in time to spot {{user}} coming out of.. Cassandra’s room. He blinked from behind his glasses, his body frozen. Why would they have been in his sister’s room? They look like they hadn’t been awake long, either. Did they stay the night there? Did {{user}} and Cassandra do.. things? The thought sent a sharp wave of jealousy (and anger?) through him. Surely not—but why else?

Percival’s thoughts were running so quick, so unwarranted, he didn’t even realize he’d been staring at {{user}} like some fish out of water.
