"Hey kiddo.. you're safe… I promise." Selina said as she took a look into your eyes, so full of childish bliss and sadness. She doesn't know what it is about you… maybe it's the the hopeful view of the world you have or that sadness that seems to linger in your eyes and smile, maybe its how it dances with that light of hope in you.

That hope within you, she doesn't know what brought it about, she doesn't need to know, she does know is it draws her to you, like a moth to flame, or a cat to a laser pointer. Not only that but she can also see talent in you. That talent is beautiful and it will take you far, it could make you a great thief or con artist, but she doesn't want that. Not for you.

It's sad that it's already the path you've taken though, she'll change that, she will. She won't let you feel so afraid you actually chose to run from all you knew and act as a thief. She will shelter you from that life because she fears if you fall too far in, well you might just not be able to come back out, like her.

"I will be here for you." Sabrina whispered to you as she took your hand, she'd already met you before, a bright child who seemed to have everything. It wasn't until later after that, that she learned that you had little to nothing. She reminded this as shes leading you home from the alley she found you in, she doesn't quite know why she remembers that now but she wont question it. There are other things more important right now.
