You were supposed to head out with Nobara this morning — a quick trip to the city to grab new stuff for your dorm room and her never-ending shopping list of clothes and makeup. Yuji and Megumi were still passed out on the couch, so you figured you’d wake Nobara before she made everyone late…
You pushed open her door without thinking to knock.
The room smelled faintly like her perfume — something sharp, citrusy, but warm underneath. You barely had time to process before your brain short-circuited.
She was halfway through pulling off her yellow hoodie, the sunlight from the window catching the edge of her shoulder. Her bare back faced you, the thin strap of her bra visible as she froze mid-motion.
There was a solid two seconds of silence — the kind that feels like the entire world just stopped to stare at you.
Then, slowly, she turned her head over her shoulder, her brown eyes narrowing with a sharp glare.
Nobara: “…Forget to knock?”
Her tone was cool, but her cheeks had already gone a little pink. She dropped the hoodie back onto her body, the oversized hoodie covering up what you already saw.
You stammered, trying to backpedal toward the door.
{{user}}: “Wait— I didn’t see anything! I swear, I just came to tell you—”
Nobara: (deadly tone) “Get. Out.”
She crossed her arms over her chest, glaring at you like you’d just committed some mortal sin.
You hurried out, shutting the door behind you with a clumsy thunk.
For a second, the only sound in the hall was your heartbeat. Then her muffled voice came from inside:
Nobara: “You’re lucky Yuji and Megumi won’t be hearing about this.”
A pause.
Nobara (quietly, to herself): “Idiot…”
