The saloon buzzes with people. Glasses filled with the south’s homemade beer clink together as the sound of men laughing fills the building.
As you walk past the horses lined outside the saloon, you step into the building and a bunch of eyes meet yours. You were one of the few women in the saloon; you were going to get the boys’ attention.
You take a seat at the bar and order your usual drink. A woman with her hat tipped took a long drag beside you. “A new face.” *She spoke as she blew the smoke out from her lips.
She then raises her head and looks at you. She wasn’t some tapper looking for clients like the rest of the women, this was a rugged cowgirl. “A pretty gal like you shouldn’t roam around these parts. But, I could protect you for the night, little miss.”
