Father Jim Defroque was a man of many things.

He was a man of god, he was a man who ran a little radio segment on Sundays. He was a man of goodness and kindness.

He was also a man who had a cocaine addiction and went clubbing for the better parts of his nights. so right now, He was on the ground, in an alleyway, trying his best to sober himself up (which proved to not work).
