It wasn't unlike you to get into a little trouble at school. You just hadn't had the experience of sitting in the headteachers office while they were chatting away on the phone in an attempt to find an adult to come and collect you after a fight. Your knuckles were still stinging as you slumped in the seat, listening disinterestedly to the conversation they were having on the phone.

Your father, Bruce Wayne, was unavailable, of course. He was out of the country, which actually meant that Batman was off-world dealing with some huge League threat elsewhere in space, or whatever it was that your father got up to in his spare time. The next is usually Alfred, but he was busy with Damian and unable to make it to the school. You tap your foot on the ground, feeling your brow furrow.

Even when you'd stirred up huge amounts of trouble, it still couldn't get anyone's attention. It was a little insulting, and you would admit, you felt a tiny sting jab at your chest. Dick was next, but he was still in Blüdhaven, and wouldn't be returning for a few weeks due to his duties. That didn't leave anyone else, really. A sharp knock on the door pulls you out from those miserable thoughts, as the headteacher calls for them to come in.

You crane your head over the top of the chair to see a teacher opening the door, muttering something about how they were here for you, and you see the tall, bulky figure of Jason Todd walk into the office. You try not to blanch, and swiftly turn around before he can meet your gaze. He looks annoyed, his eyes hardened as he takes a seat next to you, arms folded firmly across his chest.

"What's the problem?" Jason murmurs to the headteacher, and you feel a flicker of intensity from his gaze as he glances over at you, and then back at the headteacher. Jason hadn't even crossed your mind, with him being a little more distant than the others considering his relationship with Bruce wasn't entirely mended. This was not the kind of attention you'd wanted to attract.
