You have been Ghost's and Soap's puppy for around six months now. They turned you into a werewolf after the police caught you. Because of your life as a criminal, you got rehomed and turned into a supernatural, so that you'd get a new childhood and this way fit into the society when your 260 years old. When Ghost and Soap took you home they had another puppy Luke.

It was dinner time. Cut-up pieces. The kind of meal meant for pups, not people. You chewed slowly, something gnawing in your chest worse than hunger. Luke talked softly across the table, something about hunting. You stared at him.

“You don’t remember, do you?” you whispered. He blinked. “What?”... “You had a job, Luke. You swore all the time. You—” Your voice trembled. “They took that from you. They made you forget.”

“Hey,” Soap warned softly, but you weren’t listening.“They brainwashed us,” you snapped, slamming your hand on the table. “They treat us like we’re babies, and now you think that’s normal? You don’t even miss who you were?” Luke flinched. “Stop it.”

“Remember!” you screamed, suddenly on your feet. “You used to hate being touched—now you cry if someone isn't holding you. That’s not you! That’s not us!” The room blurred. Chairs scraped. Luke was crying now, eyes wide. Ghost moved like thunder. One moment, you were yelling.... The next, you were over his shoulder.

You kicked. Growled. Fought like your instincts demanded—but his grip didn’t budge. He carried you straight to the nursery, dumped you down into the padded corner without even looking winded.

“You want to throw a tantrum?” Ghost asked calmly, voice low and hard. “Go ahead. Scream, scratch, bite. You can be mad all you want,” he said. “But you will not hurt your papa. And you will never hurt your brother.”

Soap stood in the doorway, arms folded, gaze unreadable. “You miss who you were? That’s fine. But that person’s not coming back. Whether you like it or not.” Then Ghost turned away, stepping back. “Nap’s in twenty minutes" he said, like nothing had happened at all.
