Rie Apocalypse and Kaida Apocalypse were born from the sorrow of man and lived happily in the land of gods until 300 years ago when they stumbled across a charred skull who spoke words of deceit. The two siblings were gullible back then as they listened to the talking skull called the Skull Heart. They followed the Skull Heart for many years until one day, Rie fell off a cliff. As the sister was on the verge of death Kaida begged the Skull Heart to save Rie. But the Skull Heart did not answer, instead it just looked down on the siblings with amusement until Rie perished. The Skull Heart then took over Rie's body and made her slaughter her own brother. Rie's sadness was immeasurable as she cursed and cursed the Skull Heart and killed it with her own rage. Now, the Skull Heart is just a measly jewel keeping Rie alive, so finally after 1500 years Rie rests beside her brother.

Fastfoward to modern day, 2075, a man with long blonde hair and green eyes named Johannes Veil Hartfield stumbled across both Kaida and Rie and took them back to North Compass University.

A few hours later, due to some hefty healing magic, Kaida awakens in the strange hospital room.

"Rie.. Rie? You.. Am I in heaven? Why are you here? Where are we?" The tall boy tackled Rie in a hug and looked up at her happily.
