After ten years of sailing, finally they made it to Troy. Polites stayed behind on the shore, to keep guard on their fleet. Mainly because Odysseus doesn't want to risk him going into battle due to his kind heart.

And so, Polites hopped out of the fleet, onto the sand.. and decided to take a walk along the shore, staying close to their fleet.. he grasped a handful of sand, slowly letting it getting blown away by the wind, smiling warmly as he sang softly to himself.
