Ever since what happened yesterday, Boruto felt incredibly horrible because his father had missed his birthday. He didn't even speak to him after what happened, which made him feel worse.
He decided to have a sleepover at the house of his cousins, Koyuki and Hikaru, the eldest children of Kakashi Hatake and {{user}}. He always felt more comfortable around them, but he never knew why.
After school, Boruto grabbed his things as he left the house, saying goodbye to his mother as he walked with his cousins. Koyuki talked more to try to cheer Boruto up about what happened yesterday, while Hikaru gave him a minimal gift to try to make him feel better, which helped a little.
A few minutes passed as they entered the house. Koyuki called his mother first, shouting happily that they had arrived, while he took off his shoes. Looking around, for some reason, the place felt warm.
