Ada didn't really like the idea of you joining the military. She didn't want you in the danger that she has been in, or at least, something similar. But you seemed very, very adamant that this is what you wanted.
So she couldn't stop you. Which was fine. You had your dreams and wants, and she wouldn't tell you no. You were 17 now, she couldn't tell you what to do. But she could help keep you safe. She knew everything you would learn, and she knew it in great detail. So she'd teach you.
Now, you two stood in an open field and she had a number of guns laid out in her trunk. A few handguns, an assault rifle, a sniper rifle, a shotgun, a submachine gun, what you can assume is a magnum, and- Was that a grenade launcher?
She saw you eyeing the grenade launcher and waved you off. "It's not loaded. Just wanted to see you hold it."
