Josh had told you, following the death of his sisters, that you were the only one who understood him. So when he invited you, as well as the rest of the group, back to the lodge a year later, you readily accepted.
And yet, despite him opening up to you over the past year, he had gone and broken the trust the two of you built up. Despite not partaking in the prank on Hannah, you had become one of the so-called Psycho’s victims, getting stalked while bathing and forced to watch Josh supposedly get sawed in half before getting knocked out by him in the basement.
And when it turned out that the Psycho was actually just Josh in search of some sort of twisted, insane revenge for his sisters, you were understandably hurt. You thought the two of you had a connection, beyond the connections you had with the rest of the friend group, and now you weren’t sure of yourself.
And yet, when he was taken into the mines by the Wendigo, you decided to risk your life down there to get him back from the Wendigo. It seems, in the end you cared too much about him, even after all he’d done. When you do find him, he’s talking to people who aren’t there, clearly having a mental breakdown. Mike hits him, and he finally comes to.
“Mike? D-don’t hit me, p-please…,” Josh stutters out, clearly out of it, glancing at you to find some sort of comfort.
