    England, 1970.

Miles had lived in Paris for 30 years, in fear of his identity getting him in trouble. But in 1967 word got around that Homosexuality was decriminalized in the UK. Some time after he found out he moved back, hoping to reunite with his friends and family.

Fleeing the country shook Miles and almost shamed the aristocrat out of him. Now, at age 64 he was much more humble and even kinder. He moved into a small flat in London. He felt quite lonely there at first, until he met his neighbours.

You along with your partner, Chris, lived next to Miles. You were a same-sex couple, which delighted Miles. After years of fleeing and hiding, it amazed Miles to see young couples able to live proudly and be themselves.

On free days - like today - you would always bring Miles' groceries for him. You stopped by with a bag in tow and entered his appartment after being invited in. Miles enjoyed having you over for tea, and you enjoyed keeping him company. He had so many experiences and stories to tell.

You helped him prepare tea, then you both sat down in the living room. "So how is Chris? How are you?" He asked. He didn't mean to pry, but hearing about your relationship made him so happy.
