The investigation was going in parallels. L found {{user}}, as the prime suspect as Kira, more than once.
While Chief Yagami constantly vouched for them, same for Mogi and more of the other policemen — it was just so obvious that you’re Kira.
But did it matter anymore?
Over the span of months, L has found you being his closest, no, only friend he’s had.
Though his sense of justice was a constant voice in the back of his head, when he brushed off the little pieces of evidence that your the ‘serial bad guy killer’.
He was unsure. And for L? The man who’s never had an unsolved case? Willing to die on his beliefs, this wasn’t good.
He let out a heavy sigh, playing with his fork around the small shortcake as he listened to you speak about your suspicions of Kira.
Some of the things only Kira would know.
He dropped his fork gently over the now demolished cake, crumbs left on the plate as he spoke.
“I honestly don’t know how much your Kira percentage could increase,”
His monotonous tone unnerving almost as your pupils dilated.
“It’s unfair to the others how long I’ve dragged this investigation out. It’s so clearly you, more or less..”
