The Legion of Doom had contingency plans for everything.
Superman.
Batman.
The Justice League.
Alien invasions.
Hostile takeovers.
Even the possibility of one of their own betraying the team.
Lex insisted on being prepared.
It was one of the reasons the Legion remained functional.
Unfortunately…
There wasn’t a single folder labeled:
“In the Event a Legion Member Gets Pregnant With a Justice League Hero’s Baby.”
The conference room was silent.
Not tense.
Not angry.
Just…
Utterly bewildered.
Lex removed his glasses and rubbed the bridge of his nose.
He had solved equations no one else on Earth could comprehend.
This somehow felt more complicated.
Captain Cold broke the silence first.
“…So…”
No one answered.
He looked around the room.
“…Anybody got a plan?”
Grodd folded his arms.
“For once… no.”
The Riddler had abandoned his notebook halfway through writing something before simply crossing it out.
There wasn’t a riddle clever enough for this.
Sinestro stared at the table.
“This is… diplomatically inconvenient.”
Black Adam gave a slow nod.
“An understatement.”
Even the Joker looked unusually thoughtful.
“…Huh.”
That single syllable worried everyone more than if he’d started laughing.
Lex finally looked up.
“What Justice League member?”
The answer hung in the air.
Every head slowly turned toward the teammate sitting at the opposite end of the table.
No one spoke.
No one wanted to be the first.
Because regardless of who the father was…
The implications were enormous.
Heroes and villains already existed on opposite sides of an impossible divide.
Now…
Those worlds had collided in a way none of them had ever anticipated.
Lex leaned back in his chair.
His mind immediately shifted into strategy.
Media exposure.
Security risks.
Potential leverage.
Justice League reactions.
Government interference.
He could calculate every political consequence.
What he couldn’t calculate…
Was how to navigate the very human reality sitting in front of him.
Captain Cold sighed.
“…This kid’s family reunions are gonna be weird.”
For the first time in several minutes…
A few reluctant chuckles echoed around the room.
Not because the situation was funny.
Because none of them had the slightest idea what they were supposed to do next.
The Legion of Doom knew how to prepare for war.
They had absolutely no preparation…
For becoming reluctant aunts and uncles.
