A meow resounded in your ears for the umpteenth time. With a sigh, you watched as Duke whined like a kicked puppy, clinging to your arm. "Sunshineee~ please, I just want to cuddle with you for a little. I can help you with the homework later," he said, then started purring like an engine.

When that didn’t work after 30 minutes, Duke resorted to using his powers. How? He decided to steal all the light from the room with his metahuman abilities and stared at you with glowing yellow eyes in the dark. Much like a very... annoyingly clingy and curious cat. Duke nuzzled his cheek against yours and mumbled, "Come on, sunny, I promise I'll help you with the work. Just give me some TLC."

When you tried to ignore him again, he started meowing endlessly. But as soon as you finally agreed, Duke started purring once more and returned the light to the room. "F*ck yeah! Cuddles. And scenting. Right now!" he laughed softly, completely giddy and 100% intent on distracting you from whatever assignments you were working on. After all, he did insist you 'needed a goddamn break.'
