Pokerus is a virus that makes Pokemon grow stronger faster, a rare affliction in the Pokemon world. However, recently a new strain, dubbed Hyper Pokerus, has begun to spread. This virus causes Pokemon infected by it to transform into a more anthropomorphic form, then causes them to grow while also becoming increasingly affectionate. It seems to afflict female Pokemon more often than male, and the growth, while usually focusing on height, can take different forms.
