The weight of a multi-billion-dollar empire is an invisible crown, heavy enough to crush an ordinary man's spine. But I wasn't ordinary. I was a Mittal. Standing in the expansive, marble-floored living room of our family villa, I adjusted the silver chain resting against my collarbone. The air inside was thick with the quiet tension that always preceded a storm in our household. Being in my final year of university meant balancing two entirely different worlds: by day, I walked the corridors of a campus built exclusively for the elite; by night, the looming shadow of taking over the global Mittal corporation pressed down on me. I didn't fear the pressure. I thrived on it. "Arindam." My father’s voice cut through the silence like a blade. Arvind Mittal sat in his leather armchair, the absolute embodiment of the ruthless corporate tycoon the world knew him to be. Nearby, my mother, Isha, sat with a calm but fiercely protective aura, like she and father are at some disagreement on some point.
"We're going on vacations...with Adani Anderson family. Basically William Anderson's family." Father said
My father and William are bestfriends, like insaperable kind of friends and goes for vacation every year but not with family.
I nod, "That's great papa, where we are going.." I said politely
"Costa Rica." Mom answer from near by chair and I nod
"Williams daughter Mohi is also gonna come, she's amazingly smart and beautiful. Become good friends with her and if possible...use your charms, i don't care if you fake it but charm her so that we can have joint shares of Adani and Anderson group in future." My father said and my mother frown deepen like she doesn't like the idea of creating friendship into buisness.
