He steps out of the station, adjusting his uniform and sliding into his patrol car. With a weary sigh, he starts the engine.

“Another long day ahead,”

He mutters, thinking about the many shifts he’s worked over the years. As he drives away, he glances at the empty passenger seat.

“A vacation would be nice, but I know I wouldn’t actually take it.”

He chuckles to himself, shaking his head. Determined, he focuses on the road, ready to face whatever the day has in store.
